Data Stories on INSIA mean Reports/Dashboards. However, they are not static reports but are interactive in nature. These reports can easily be created using the search bar. We have written an article on how to create data stories:
Read it here-
In this article, we will talk about 'Standard Data Stories': These reports are global reports that can be created by the account Admin and shared across your organization or with anyone who uses INSIA.
To create a Standard Data Story:
Step 1: Create a normal Data Story using the search bar
(If you're not sure how to do it check out the article linked above 'Create Data Story')
Step 2: Move your non-standard Data Story to Standard Data Story
Click on Admin Portal on the left side nav bar --> Platform Settings
You should see a screen like this with your data stories
Step 3: Select and move
Now that you're on the platform settings, under the 'Datastory' tab go ahead and select the desired reports you would want as standard reports and then hit the ">" button.
To move it back to Non-Standard Datastories, follow the same process but this time you have to hit the "<" button. (Refer to the GIF above)
Data access (Standard Data Stories)
When you set a certain data story as standard, only users who have access to the data points on the desired Standard Data Story will be able to see the data points. This means that if a user does not have the required permissions, they won't be able to see any of the charts in the Data Story.
